Introduction

The D2497 was a system designed for a customer with military spec connectors. It contained a Kontron speedMOPSlcdPM (now EOL) CPU board, a number of 3rd party I/O cards (Gigabit PC/104plus card and PC/104 Can card), a D2406 compact flash card board and a Tri-M HE-104 power supply unit. The whole unit was encased in a Tri-M VersaTainer on the VT-EBX tray.

The system is completely fanless, and had Windows 2000 installed.

All design work was done in house including the rather arduous task of making the connecting cables for the hundreds of wires required by the specification.
