Diamond Systems Hercules III board announced. Hercules III is a high performance successor to the popular Hercules II EBX SBC. Combining processor, data acquisition, and power supply onto one board results in a thinner, lighter, more rugged, and easier to assemble embedded system.

The 3-in-1 design addressed the needs of mobile and vehicle applications by offering the benefits of reduced size, weight, cost, and power consumption.

Aitech's C920 3U CompactPCI SBC is an ultra low power, high performance PowerPC® platform packed into asmall 3U form factor. Based on Freescale's MPC8349E PowerQUICCTM II Pro controller the C920 SBC features a combination of the advanced e300 PowerPC core and multiple I/O interfaces integrated into a single low power device.

The C920 implements high capacity high-speed memory arrays to support the processor capabilities and user application needs. Memory resources include 256 MB fast DDR2 266 (Double Data Rate II) SDRAM with ECC protection. Non-volatile memory arrays include 128 MB Boot Flash, 128 MB alternate Boot Flash, 256 MB Flash memory for User needs and 512 kB MRAM (NVRAM) for user/application specific parameter storage.

Connect Tech Xtreme/PSU-UPS board announced. Connect Tech's Xtreme/PSU-UPS is a high efficiency, high powered PC/104 form factor power supply featuring a wide input voltage range that accepts +6V to +36V DC, and provides 154W of total output power with +5V, +12V, -12V, +3.3V and +5 standby output voltages.

Xtreme/PSU-UPS features SMART battery charging for uninterrupted power supply and battery backup functionality, along with extended temperature capabilities.

Connect Tech Inc. Xtreme/GbE board announced. Connect Tech's Xtreme/GbE is a flexible, high performance 8-port Gigabit Ethernet Switch with advanced management capabilities. The Xtreme/GbE can be powered from a wide input voltage range of +5V to +36V making it ideal to sit as a standalone unit or to be integrated onto a small SBC.

The Xtreme/GbE can have its management features controlled via web GUI interface or a CLI that can be accessed by an on-board RS-232 serial port or directly through the PCIe/104 bus on model # XDG003.

Connect Tech Inc. Xtreme/GPU board announced. Connect Tech's Xtreme/GPU brings exceptional desktop-level graphics, outstanding multimedia features, and GPU processing power to the PCIe/104 form factor; with the ability to select either AMD or NVIDIA graphical solutions.

Connect Tech's AMD version of the Xtreme/GPU is a high end graphics unit, used to drive up to four Mini DisplayPort connections for either independent use, or leveraging AMD Eyefi nity technology, as a single large surface. On-board passive circuitry allows for the use of Dual-Mode DisplayPort, enabling the use of DVI or HDMI dongles if DisplayPort is not preferred.

Connect Tech Xtreme/PSU-XP board announced. Connect Tech’s Xtreme/PSU-XP is a high efficiency, high powered PC/104 form factor power supply with extended temperature capabilities. Xtreme/PSU-XP provides power to terminal block connectors and powers all of the PC/104 family expansion buses such as PC/104, PC/104-Plus, PCI-104, PCI/104-Express and PCIe/104.

Diamond Systems DS-MPE-SER4M board announced.The DS-MPE-SER4M is a rugged, low cost 4-port high speed PCIe MiniCard module that is ideal for serial I/O expansion in embedded and OEM applications. It offers four RS-232/422-485 serial ports in the PCIe MiniCard full size form factor with an extended operating temperature of -40°C to +85°C.

Extended temperature capability (-40°C to +85°C) enables the board to operate in environments with extreme temperature swings, such as vehicles or outdoor installations. In addition, the board may be custom-configured with 0-ohm resistors in place of jumper blocks for increased ruggedness in high-vibration environments.
