Introduction

MOPS-PM InterfacesThe MOPS-PM is an 'all in one' Intel® Pentium® M based PC/104plus with consistent 90x 96 mm classic PC/104plus size – 100% compliant to the PC/104 Consortium specifications.

Despite the very compact 90x 96 mm size format it‘s possible to integrate the ISA- & PCI-bus and a full featured set of interfaces. Beside all standard interfaces (2 COM ports, LAN, CRT, LPT, EIDE, 2 USB) a high speed on chip video controller (Intel® Extreme Graphics 2 engine) is available. It can operate CRT monitors and LCD flat panels in parallel even with different screen content.

Flatpanel displays with highest resolutions can be connected. Up to 64 MByte of video memory (UMA) are already on chip at the graphic controller.JILI30 allows extremely low cost LVDS TFT panel adaption. An adaptor even enables connection to TTl panels.

Heatspreader Cooling

The board comes without any cooling devices present. Kontron recommend the usage of their 01060-0000-99-0C01 or 01060-0000-99-0C02 coolers. Both coolers come with an appropriate.

This cooler consists of a heatspreader and fan assembly.

It can be used on all three versions:

  • 600 MHz - can be used without fan plugged in
  • 1.0 GHz (standard temp) - fan usage mandatory
  • 1.0 GHz (extended temp) - fan usage mandatory
  • 1.4 GHz - fan usage mandatory

 

To the right is a picture of the 01060-0000-99-0C02 cooler set fitted to the MOPS-PM.

This cooler consists of a heatspreader assembly with a heatsink mounted to it.

It can be used on two versions:

  • 600 MHz
  • 1.0 GHz (standard temp)

This cooler is not suitable for use with the 1.0 GHz (extended temp) or 1.4 GHz versions.
